“Pretend that every single person you meet has a sign around his or her neck that says, ‘Make me feel important.’”
– Mary Kay Ash (1918–2001) – American businesswoman
We all want to be felt important and special, and at the same time get our voices heard. It applies to our customers too. They want to be treated with care and receive the best possible service. Which is what they are paying for.
When we are dealing with someone, we expect that person to give us their 100% attention and not to be distracted by emails, text messages, instant messaging and so forth until the issue has been fully addresses, same applies the other way round, and they expect the same from you.
The most powerful thing for any business whether they are large corporate origination or SME, is customer service. Getting that nailed will resolve in saving on advertising costs, increase in sales and building the company awareness by customers referrals.
Larger companies spend millions every single year on adverting campaigns, to win customers that they have lost over the years. The reason why the customer left the company in the first place was nothing to do with their offers, prices nor their products, but it was due to bad customer service. If we can all address the issue why the customers left us in the first place, acquiring new business would be much easier.
Make every customer feel that they are special.
Have a great weekend.
